Filming American Blogger

Butterflies flipped and twirled through my stomach as I eagerly awaited the famous Airstream.

I had been anticipating this moment for a few months now. But when it finally arrived, when it was my turn to be filmed as an American Blogger—it was surreal.

The night before Chris' arrival, I was trying to figure out why I felt so nervous. I have never been camera shy, so I knew that wasn't it. Then the tears came. I wasn't just going to sit in front of the camera and talk about bits and pieces of everyday life. It was going to be more than that. I knew that I was going to expose my soul, my love, and my story.

So I prayed. I asked God to help me represent Him well and represent my son well. I asked Him to help me tell the story as He wrote it.

As I sat in front of the camera and answered the question, "Why did you start blogging?" I spoke honestly, and my mind revisited thoughts of three years ago. The passion and love for the life God has given me streamed down my cheeks. And I knew  I communicated well when I saw Chris' eyes tear up.

After my interview, the day went on with sweet laughter and good conversation. I said it before, and I want to say it again...I am honored to be a part of this film. And I am so proud of Chris and Casey.
