Fall Memories

Last month was filled with precious memories. Not the kind of memories where I make my kids dress up for the pumpkin patch and give me their best smile. But the kind of memories that are natural. The ones that just happen. The type of memories where you stand back and you watch your kids explore and enjoy life.

This October we spent hours in the pumpkin patch, corn maze, and petting zoo. Carving pumpkins and sipping hot/warm cider while watching The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, was a highlight too.

This last month was rich with family. And the best part was that expectations were low. I'm learning that the best moments with my family are when I recognize what my expectations are and keep them at a distance.

The sweet old ladies at the store keep telling me to enjoy these moments, "They are sweet and they go by fast!" And they are right. They are very sweet moments...and fun too!

I always wondered where my red hair came from. Mystery solved!...
