I remember playing make-believe with my cousins. I remember running wild with them. Scraped knees, unbrushed hair, and dirt-stained clothes were the norm. We didn't have any cares or worries; we ran, played, and explored. We loved being with each other.
Now the tables have turned. We are still cousins and we still enjoy each other; we just don't have the same desire to frolic in the mud and scrape our knees...and we try to brush our hair. We are enjoying a whole new crew of cousins as we admire their scrapes and wash out their dirt-stained clothing.
This last week we watched twelve cousins enjoy life together. It was a sweet time.
