The Women In My Life
There are many women in my life that share a little part of who I am today. Some of them have known me since I was little, some for a few years, and some in between.
Since Pia was born I've been enjoying a little time with many of them. I was talking with one of these women the other day about how I wish I had more time to spend with all my favorite women. I don't have coffee dates and long drawn out lunches where no children are interrupting. And I'm ok with this, but I do daydream about it sometimes.
All these women have had their place and time in my life. They have a significance that is more than keeping up with coffee dates. They've made their imprint in my life.
I want my daughter to have what I have: women who've listened, taught, shared, cried, and laughed with me. Women who are passionate about life. Women who listen. Women who encourage me in my marriage. Women that will hold me up when I feel like being a mom is too hard.
I need these women. I need them because God didn't intend for me to figure it out on my own. He gave me these beautiful relationships for a purpose.
So here's to you, women in my life...I love you all deeply, you are a part of who I am today.
P.S. There are many of you that I would love to have a picture of with me and my baby girl. I'll get one eventually :)
