This time of year we see many things that remind us of new life. Vibrant flowers are in bloom, spreading forth their fragrance. Babies are welcomed into this world. New life is all around and I appreciate it more every year. At this time two years ago, I found out I was pregnant with a new little life. I guess you could say a big life, considering how I've been changed. The day before Easter I whispered sweet words into Aaron's ear: "You're going to be a daddy again!" We snuck away from the commotion of busy family and shared our excitement over laughter and a whole lot of "what?!" The day before Easter we celebrated the new life inside of me, Elias' life. Over the last twenty years I've changed a lot and It hasn't been because of anything I've done. Anything new and good in my life is from my precious Savior. He has shown me what true fulfillment is. By His grace I experience new life. This time of year I am overwhelmed thinking about all that's been done for me; I am truly thankful.
I think It is best said like this: "But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved..." (Eph 2:4–5)
My life has been made new because of Christ's death and resurrection. I have much to celebrate!
