He Fought For Me

November eleventh was a day I looked forward to as a child. Every year my mom would make a delicious Thai meal and a homemade apple pie and we would raise our glasses, "To our freedom, to dad!"

My parents wanted us to know the importance of  the Veteran's who put their life on the line so that we could have freedom. They wanted us to look at an American flag and connect it with people who fought for us.

Today I am humbled. I sit and think of those who fought and those who are fighting. For whatever reason, God has given us a country that can enjoy the beauty of freedom, and I am so thankful.

I'm thankful for my dad today, he put his life on the line so that we could have freedom.
