A New Day

Yesterday I spent too much time thinking about the future. Aaron and I take turns encouraging each other with "one day at a time" but I guess I forgot. A few things sent me spiraling down into worry and I wasn't very enjoyable. Ask Vitali, he would tell you I was grouchy.

Today was a new day and we wanted to make the most of it! I knew it was going to be a great day when Vitali  picked his boots over his Vans, he was ready to explore and take on the world.

The morning started out with me dodging a broom (Vitali was reenacting one of his books, 10 Apples Up On Top). Then we went on to building a fort. Vitali got board with the fort and discovered picking his nose for the first time, lovely.

Once Elias woke up I made a delicious cup of coffee and we went exploring. As we took in the fresh air I got excited for the new fall season and all we will enjoy as a family. While we were walking my heart smiled as I thought about how new and fresh everything was for Vitali and Elias. Our boys keep us going. God has given them simple minds that enjoy life as it comes, I love being reminded of this through their precious lives.

After a long walk Vitali needed a cookie. I guess it wasn't cooked enough because he insisted in throwing it on the grill for 5 min!
